Mac Apps

One of the benefits of being a Mac user is that there is an abundance of great apps you can use: there are fun, convenient apps like alarm clocks, system apps likes disk management software, and more personality-specific apps like recipe organizers and video editors.

I've found that, generally speaking, there are three different categories of Mac users when it comes to apps: techies who want hardcore system tools, hobbyists who want programs to help them manage their interests, and addicts who just can't get enough of all those supercool apps! Fortunately, there are solutions out there no matter which category you fit into.

First of all, if you're not sure where to find all these great Mac apps (no matter what you want them for) check out sites like MacApper. They have reviews of just about every app you can think of, so it's also a great place to see what others have said about a particular app. They have some other neat stuff, too -- it's not uncommon for them to have free licenses to give away to some lucky readers. And if you have an app that hasn't been reviewed on their site, you can write one yourself and get paid for it! Here's a screenshot of MacApper:

If you already know what you want and what kind of updates you need, check out MacUpdate. They have all the latest updates for Mac apps, plus you can specify whether you're looking for freeware, shareware, or a certain category (Education, Games, Development, etc.)

Odds are that somewhere out there is an app for just what you need, whether you're looking for some serious professional equipment or just some fun additions.
